Checkeeper offers an array of features for printing and mailing customized business checks on demand, and there may still be some options you have yet to try. Checkeeper offers powerful searching and reporting features that help keep financial records organized and accessible.
Business owners and bookkeepers who utilize financial reports to help measure the company’s overall financial health benefit from Checkeeper’s Reporting feature that allows users to generate a partial or complete list of all checks created.
· Analyze spending within a designated time frame
· Reconcile accounts and bank statements
· Catch mistakes
· Monitor budgets
· Track expenses
· Prevent fraud
· Stop wasteful spending
· Conduct an audit
· Simplify tax prep
· Add accountability to the in-house payment process
Locate and click the ‘Reports’ tab along the left margin navigation bar, or access the Reporting option inside the Administration page. Input a custom date range to pull up a list of all checks created within that time frame.
Your report will include pertinent data from the checks created within that designated time frame; data includes: payee name, date, amount, and strike-through indicators for those checks that were voided. A total dollar sum is also listed, making account reconciliation and overall expense tracking easier and more efficient.
Selecting 'Download' at the top right will generate for you a spreadsheet that contains the check payment details needed for accurate, organized bookkeeping. Review the spreadsheet for: check number, date, amount paid, payee name, address, country, and memo. To aid better in-house record-keeping, the Checkeeper reports spreadsheet also includes the name of the authorized user who initiated the payment, as well as the date and time of a check’s creation.
Bookkeepers who manage multiple clients appreciate how simple and organized Checkeeper records are. Bookkeepers can manage all their clients from one streamlined login and dashboard, while still maintaining separate registries for each client account so that all records and reports are kept separate. Bookkeepers can print a registry report from any specific client account, as well as search for specific payments or generate a list of checks issued within a given time frame.
Checkeeper works with other widely-used financial software for business accounting and payroll, including FreshBooks, QuickBooks Online, Gusto, Square, and more. Checkeeper can also be linked to select invoice-holding accounts, including Xero and Odoo, in order to automatically import data from unpaid invoices to then be directly converted into check payments. Link Checkeeper to a compatible account, and have checks created automatically; multiple payments due to the same vendor can be consolidated into a single check automatically, and it will include an invoice table that breaks down the total. This improves accuracy for both payor and payee, and it reduces paperwork for everyone.
Checkeeper reporting features show helpful check details, including:
· Total dollar amount disbursed via check within a given time frame
· Name of authorized user who initiated each check payment
· Dates and times each check was created
· Indication of checks that were voided
Make financial analysis simpler, more accurate, and more efficient by running reports in Checkeeper and by linking accounts in order to share check data between applications. Checkeeper offers a helpful complement to other financial analysis tools used by small businesses and can be tried for free for 14 days before being adopted as a full-time tool for creating, mailing, and recording check payments.
