Checkeeper offers online templates for creating and printing customized business checks, wherever you are, whenever you need them. Checkeeper accounts come with many unique features, including some you may not have tried. In addition to check printing, Checkeeper offers check mailing services for users who want to order all of their checks professionally printed and mailed for them. Setting up your Checkeeper account for mailing is easy, it saves time, and it is useful on many occasions.
Before users can place an order of checks to be printed and mailed, they must purchase mail credits to correspond with the size and speed of the checks contained in the order. One mail credit is equal to one check printed, stuffed in an envelope, and mailed via USPS First-Class Mail. If you prefer a faster delivery method, the 'Credit Estimator' along the bottom of the mail settings page can calculate for you how many credits will be needed to fulfill your check order. Maintaining an ongoing mailing credit balance enables you to place a quick order without purchasing and repurchasing mail credits every time.
Checkeeper’s mail settings are simple to navigate, and users can set up their account for mailing in advance so that when the services are needed, everything is ready.
Click on the Mail Settings tab on the main page to be taken to all the prompts needed for getting a check mailing order ready. Input the business name and address as you want them to appear on the mailed check, and double-check the preview section to make sure all words appear correctly. Add your logo here, too, so that your printed checks reinforce your brand to each payee.
Input bank information—routing and account numbers—as you want them to appear on the bottom of the printed checks. Checkeeper does not draw funds for you or move your money. Routing and account numbers appear on the bottom of the check just as users input them, so it is important to double-check them to verify accuracy. Checkeeper will automatically reformat the numbers in the MICR font that bank computers require for efficient processing.
Add a signature that matches bank records to store in the account, and list any voiding instructions, if applicable.
Click on ‘Purchase Credits’ along the top to select the number of credits needed for fulfilment, and then enter payment information. The credit balance along the top tells you how many credits you have, and beneath it is the option to add more credits to your account.
Check orders placed before 4pm EST can be out for delivery by the end of the business day. Checkeeper does not offer mailing services on federal holidays or days the post office is closed, but checks can be printed and prepared for mailing on the next available business day. Checkeeper offers four priority delivery methods, three of which offer tracking numbers for users who want their checks delivered quickly and their chain of custody traceable. Select from standard First-Class USPS Mail, Priority Mail, Next-Day Air, or Second-Day Air, opting for the delivery speed that best suits the urgency and traceability of the payment. A helpful credit estimator inside the Checkeeper account can help you decide how many credits are needed for any sized check mailing order.
